HESSTON, PA - Hesston Speedway got the point season underway on Saturday night with Big 4 Outdoors sponsoring the trophies to the top three finishers in each feature.

In the sprint feature Joe Zap and Rodney Peters led the field to the green flag with Zap taking the lead at the start and setting the pace. Zap had Mark Watkins in second with Peters third and Tom Worrick fourth. Peters was headed to the front but so was eight place starter Nathan Gramley and on the 12th lap it was Gramley who took the lead and was pulling away from the competition, but the field tightened up following a caution and Roger Irvine and Lee Cavalet were right behind the leader.
