PASS/IMCA Prepares to headline at SusquehannaNewsPhoto

When Scott Gobrecht purchased Susquehanna Speedway he did so out of a desire to contribute to the sport he loves. Pass is proud that Gobrecht chose our division when he drove a sprint car but Scott has obviously found his true calling. In the brief time that he has owned the speedway Scott has been transformed by the passion he has poured into the speedway and the personal satisfaction it has brought him. Scott and Promoter Kolten Gouse have logged hundreds of hours and worked tirelessly upgrading the facility along with adapting a new and exciting atmosphere for fans.

But they weren't alone

Dozens of volunteers have committed time and personal contributions to help with the transformation and the results are only beginning to show. Among those volunteers are several from the PASS ranks, most notably Clair Wintermeyer who has gone absent from his local business for long periods of time while he helps to renovate the grounds with his own labor and contribution of equipment. Dave Ort has also spent numerous hours at the speedway contributing. Ryan Slothower and others from the series have also been helpful in the process. Each of these individuals are doing this for the same reason. To give back.

The hard work of these individuals has helped gain considerable attention for Susquehanna speedway both locally and nationally. Everyone is excited to visit the facility, If you've been there before you may not recognize it Saturday.

Thirty one cars are pre-registered for Saturday as teams anticipate headlining for the first time at Susquehanna under the new regime. The Fun starts at 2pm with a parking lot Party, stop out and See 2015 Champ Zach Newlin and others before the racing begins Pits Open @ 4:00 PM, Grandstands @ 5:00 PM Racing @ 7:00 PM
