Zach Newlin, of Lewistown Pa., raced to his first 305 win of the season, while Andrew Yoder of Middleburg, Pa., made a late race pass to score his third win of the season in the limited late models. Dexter Strawser of Richfield, Pa. was the winner of the 600-Micro Sprint feature. Other winners were AY Schilling of Linden, Pa. getting his fourth win in Pro Stocks and Aaron Luzier of Clearfield, Pa, his fifth in the FWD four-cylinders. This Friday night August 5th the Super late models will make their fourth appearance of the season in the running of the Herm Braim Memorial. The event will honor Herm Braim who was one of the original promoters of the speedway, and served in that role for seven seasons. IMCA 305 sprints, Pro Stocks and Vintage racecars will also see action.
Zach Newlin Started fourth in the 20-lap IMCA 305 sprint car feature, but quickly moved into second place by lap six, and chasing one time feature winner Nathan Gramley, who grabbed the lead at the start. Zach made the winning pass on lap eleven, getting around Gramley, and then holding off Scott Lutz to collect the win. "The guys who are running this track need to pat themselves on the back", said Newlin," this place is nice and it was really tacky all night. My brother keep telling me to run the top, but a had the car working on the bottom so I stayed there. Coming off the second turn there was some moister, and when I hit that spot the car would just take off". Scott Lutz closed the gap late in the race, but not enough to challenge Zach for the win. Gramley followed in third with ken Duke and Tylor Cochran fifth.
