It was Big Valley Fastener night Friday at Clinton County. Tyler Bear picked up the win after an interesting start. On the first lap of the feature the backstretch went dark following an electrical failure but an alert group of racers were able to keep control of their cars without a crash. Track officials worked diligently to make repairs and continued after a delay.
Following the delay the race went non-stop as the talented younster held off Mark Watkins for the win. Logan Wagner was Third followed by Tim Damianai and Reed Thompson.
Track workers had a difficult task to prepare the racing surface following a week of heavy rains but were able to get in the show. "I would have cancelled except for the fact that we looked forward to having the series here tonight" explained Track Promoter Vern Wasson. Wasson has expressed interest in having the series a few more times next year.
