PA305Sprints Polling speedways for 2007 special race dates.

The PA305Sprint series would like to POLL local tracks that are interested in hosting the series for Special Races in 2007. The series already has a commitment from its home track Hesston Speedway for approximately 20 races; the series also anticipates return to Path Valley for 2007 for a limited schedule similar to the past several years.

Our teams enjoy traveling a few times per year and we're trying to find out which tracks are interested so we can let teams vote on special race locations. We're not looking for specific dates we just want to know who is interested and how many races they would be interested in hosting. We'll let teams vote in September so we know what to work with in October and November when schedules are made. Hesston has expressed that they would give up one Saturday per month for special races and they are relatively flexible on the dates. Fridays, Sundays and even weekday events will also be considered for votes. Our purse for special races in 2007 will be about $3500 with $60 tow money for non-qualifiers.

Last year we had some teams that were unhappy because we limited the special races so this year we will take a poll and let teams pick the dates. We'll entertain anywhere from 4 to 10 special races depending on track interest, feasibility of dates and the ability for volunteers to handle tech. We'll reveal the totals at our fall meeting.

Teams considering joining the series in 2007 should understand that the series was established at Hesston and Path Valley and intends to continue to run these speedways indefinitely, we're not looking to expand our operations, our intention is to give the teams some travel dates and teams that run for points at Hesston or Path Valley some weeks to plan vacation.

Teams can also expect our rules to continue to remain consistent for 2007 as they have since the series inception.

The PA305Sprint series is part of the Regionally Affiliated RaceSaver® Series which allows for affordable with Stable and Enforceable Rules, Consistent Rules Application and Fair Purse Distribution. The PA305Sprints represent themselves as "recreational" sprint car racing with the focus on Family and Fun rather than Fame and Fortune.
