2nd annual event expands to 2 days with Saturday Purse exceeding $10,000!

The PA Sprint Series and Port Royal Speedway are proud to announce the 2nd annual Keystone RaceSaver® Challenge as part of their Blue Collar Classic October 11th and 12th.
The first annual event was a huge success attracting 56 teams from various RaceSaver® regions and with 51 cars already reporting for an interregional show this year a stellar field is expected.
The second annual event has been expanded to 2 days with a regular feature scheduled for Friday as the kick off for the classic. Fridays winner and will be given a guaranteed starter position in the Saturday classic and the winner will be awarded the Trophy should the Saturday event be cancelled due to weather. More guaranteed starters may be added later
Saturdays itinerary has been expanded to a two feature show. Competitors will run group time trials to determine starting positions then Heat races and B-mains to determine the Keystone RaceSaver Challenge field. The winner will receive an impressive trophy and $750, 24th position will pay $250.
Non qualifiers (up to 24) will run a Founders cup race paying $200 and the inaugural Founders cup which will be inscribed with the names of the Series Founders and the winners name. The race will be 15 laps celebrating the 15th anniversary of the series and will increase one lap each year. The winning owner/driver combo can use the founders cup to gain a guaranteed starting position in 2014 by passing the cup to the 2014 winner.
In addition PRS is inviting sponsors to contribute contingency prizes to be distributed throughout the field especially to offset travel costs and reward travel. Several sponsors have already inquired.
Friday warm-ups at 7 and heats at 7:30 – gates open at TBD
Saturday – MOTOR STARTS AT 5 – WARM-UPS 5:20 – TT 5:45 GATES OPEN AT TBD (WE CAN LET CARS IN THE PITS FROM FRIDAY TO SATURDAY AND CLEAR THE PITS SATURDAY BEFORE THE GATES OPEN FOR ANYONE THAT ONCE TO STAY OVERNIGHT)
There will be no mail in pre-registration for 2013 instead teams will Pay $50 to draw a pill or $20 if they have pre-registered on-line. Due to the considerable scoring challenge MyLaps transponders will be required. They will be $30 (Saturday only) unless you have indicated you are providing one in pre-registration.
